Signing up to my first race (let alone a marathon!) is more than just a personal challenge, it's a chance to advocate for a great cause and support the incredible work of War Child.

For numerous children globally, the harsh realities of armed conflict is a daily battle. With over 468 million children raised in war-affected areas, the demand for assistance has reached unprecedented levels. War Child's initiatives serve as a beacon of hope amid these challenging circumstances, providing crucial psychosocial aid, education and protection to help children not only survive but build a better future. 

By taking part in 'Rituals runs for War Child', I am not only challenging my own limits but also standing in solidarity with those who need it most. So as I prepare to cross the finish line of my first marathon, I do so with gratitude for the opportunity to run for a cause that truly matters.

Last year an outstanding total of €39,136 was raised for War Child so this year we are aiming for at least €40,000! 

But we can not do it alone. Together, let's run for peace, hope and for a world where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
