3 dads being close amigo's. 1 chrome brick on wheels. Blasting through 15 European countries in 5 days. A crazy roadtrip in a car bought for € 500,-. Painted and modified by yours truly, ready to blast off!

Nuts? Maybe, but it's not just the thrill of the adventure we are looking for. We also want to put in the miles for all children suffering from war trauma in today's world. That is why we support War Child and want to raise a euro for every mile we drive. But more is even better.

Being a dad, able to watch your own children grow up in peace is a privilege. We are well aware of that. Being a dad also causes that your heart cries for all children in places that are not safe. Where war and violence have destroyed their young lives and their innocence, leaving scars both physically as mentally.

Our cause? Please help us to raise as much donations as possible to support children that suffered from war and conflict. War Child provides psychosocial support so they can get their lives back on the road. Help relieve children from war trauma and provide them with the opportunity to shine again!

We are greatfull with any donation, small or big. At the end of our journey, all raised funds will be directly available to help those who need it the most. Every child that can be supported is a win.

You can follow our adventures in the blog if you want, but feel free to do something usefull with your time instead. Like donating some more! Just kidding, thanks all and have a really great day  🙏

Getting prepared

16-05-2024 | 16:24 Hour
Going chrome We are currently in the preparation fase, meaning getting Chromeworthy and safe. Sorry i mean roadworthy, the chrome transformation is already handled. That was quite an important makeover, since our teamname suggests something in that direction and the car had a military-style image when we bought it. We don't want to drive in anything referring to military connections off course, this had to be radically improved to something more inspiring.  Chrome had her beauty treatment just a few weeks ago, and she looks good as new. A Chrome ⭐️ is born! Quite a few issues have also already been solved and we had multiple wrenching days to get the job done. We got new brakes, couple of brakelines fixed, better coilover springs, exhaust brackets, new rear seat etc. You know what they say, preparation is half of the fun 🤩. The odometer of Chrome reads 358683 kilometers, so this baby has certainly seen something of the world. We bought the car in a more or less black military style from some great guys who did several competitions with it in the far North. Cold expeditions therefore, but being a Volvo the car managed to put in the miles without any serious issues. Let's hope she is as good for us as she was to them! Jobs to do within a couple of weeks we will still have to paint and install the roofrack, manage the electrics and wiring, check which reserve parts and tools are needed, repair some interior trim and give it a fresh splash of oil and a filter. After that it's good to go and we can start focussing on our loading capacity and preparation what to bring with us during the trip. right before take-off we will take Chrome to the wrap shop, where the custom team artwork and War Child stickers will be applied. After that, it's game time and our tour d'Europe can finally start. Let's go!
