world refugee day

Hey everyone, it's me again.  And today I want to talk to you about a special day: 20th June is World Refugee Day.

Did you know that there are over 82 million people around the world who have been forcibly displaced from their homes? Among them, nearly half are children just like you and me. They have faced unimaginable challenges, but together, we can make a difference.

World Refugee Day is a day dedicated to raising awareness and supporting children and families who have been forced to leave their homes due to conflict and persecution.

In case you are new to my blog, you might be wondering how I'm connected to World Refugee Day. Well, let me tell you! I'm walking the Walk of the World, also known as the Nijmeegse 4 Daagse, to raise funds for an amazing organization called War Child. They work tirelessly to support children affected by war, providing them with, psychosocial support, education and protection.

War Child believes in the power of children and their resilience. They provide safe spaces, education programs, and counseling to help children recover from the horrors of war. With your support, we can make sure that these children receive the care and opportunities they deserve.

By walking 120 kilometers in July, I'm hoping to raise awareness and funds to help even more children in need. Every step I take is a step closer to providing education, protection, and hope for those who have been forced to flee their homes.

So here's my big ask: Will you join me today on World Refugee Day in supporting my walk for War Child? Your donation will have a direct impact on the lives of these incredible children. Together, we can create a world where every child is safe, protected, and given the chance to thrive.

Let's make this World Refugee Day a day of action through donation

Thank you for being a part of this important cause.
